BROOKS: ALLWORX OPENS NEW CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS IN MONROE COUNTY

Expansion Fueled by Growth in the Telecommunications Industry

Friday, February 9, 2007 - Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks today joined George E. Daddis, CEO of Allworx, and Sandra Gault, the company’s EVP of Marketing, to open the new Allworx headquarters in the Techniplex Building in East Rochester. Allworx’s relocation is fueled by substantial growth within the last year that has resulted in the need for larger facilities. Sales and employment have grown substantially in both the Allworx SMB Telephony and InSciTek Consulting divisions. The 22,000 square foot headquarters has been renovated to accommodate a formal training facility, testing laboratory, development laboratory, and state-of the-art customer support center.

Monroe County is proud to be a partner in Allworx’s expansion, which has resulted in more good paying jobs in our community and represents a significant investment in our local economy,” said Brooks. “Allworx’s growth is yet another sign of our region’s strength in the telecommunications industry. The company’s success contributes greatly to our nationally recognized leadership in technology innovation. I thank Allworx for its commitment to doing business and creating jobs in Monroe County.”

We’re proud to be part of this vibrant Monroe County community that values technical innovation, rewards businesses through tax incentives, and provides access to a pool of brilliant local engineers,” said George E. Daddis, Jr., Ph.D., CEO of Allworx. “Allworx exports its telephony products and consulting services throughout North America. Customers across the U.S. have found our Allworx analog and VoIP telephone systems to be a risk-free and turnkey bridge between traditional telephone services and VoIP. Add the strong growth in our client base within the InSciTek consulting division, and the result is strongly increasing sales and employment driving the expansion into our new headquarters at Techniplex.”

Allworx now employs more than 70 people in Monroe County. Allworx’s family of IP-PBX/Key systems, which include the Allworx 6x, 10x, and 24x offerings, are designed for businesses from 30 to 100 employees per site.  Allworx’s VoIP phones, systems, and software options bring the power of big business communications to small businesses. Allworx has established strong market differentiators such as:

  • the industry’s lowest installed cost of any full-featured analog/VoIP PBX/Key-system
  • the richest SMB feature set available anywhere including true key-system operation
  • superior flexibility to help SMBs transition to VoIP risk-free, and at their own pace
  • and the simplest system to install, use and administer.

Allworx has been awarded Internet Telephony’s product of the year awards in 2005 and 2006, and the company has garnered multiple industry awards for its channel programs. Monroe County, through COMIDA, provided incentives for the purchase of equipment for Allworx’s new laboratory space. COMIDA also provided incentives for the project’s developer, Techniplex Associates, for the renovation of the building.
